My practice

My counselling practice

If you are considering therapy, then do call to discuss your needs.  I urge an initial one-off session to meet face-to-face, during which we can meet properly and assess whether we wish to work together.   I consider the client relationship to be central to any work and therefore protracted telephone discussions prior to meeting, can muddy this highly important early stage of a relationship.

I am experienced, well qualified, providing a premium, ethically sound service.  I am accredited with UKAHPP and registered with the UKCP and the PSA, I am a member of the BACP.

I work with individuals, families and couples.  In my family work I would typically work with 2 family members at a time, with my work being focused more on parents with adolescent and teenage children.

I do not offer sessions over the telephone or Skype.

In my practice I adhere to a Humanistic model of working which means I view people as best served by making their own decisions, I don’t tend to offer any training or advice; however, where clients have an interest in the various theories which might apply, I would be happy to introduce appropriate theories for discussion.

I typically offer sessions across the working week with most sessions being in the morning and early afternoon.  Some clients prefer sessions to be at the same time each week; however, I’m happy for session days and times to vary week-on-week.

I am prepared to discuss Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) arrangements with organisations.

I am supported by associates to help ensure that the practice is both professional and ethical, all therapeutic work is supervised.

Here is a list of organisations who enable me to provide this premium service to my clients, and to acknowledge their support in my delivery of  high levels of satisfaction and well-being.
